Long Week

Once again I have to apologize to our devoted blog readers for a long break between posts. Last week was a very long week for me, the main blogger of the house (and you know how it goes...if Momma's not bloggin', nobody's bloggin'). We had a major training event at work that kept me up until nearly 4 AM some nights, and while I considered posting, I didn't think that a blog post that consisted of "zzzzzzzzzzz" would be worth reading. Thankfully, Tim's parents were able to camp out and keep an eye on the munchkin, which was a huge help!

Needless to say, we spent this weekend relaxing, getting the last of the Christmas decorations put away (of which we now have 8 totes full...perhaps this is getting out of hand) and playing with Anna. Since my husband and my wife did such a good job of taking care of me and keeping me sane that week, I got my act together and made everyone the "Ultimate Cinnamon Rolls" which turned out to be pretty tasty for our Sunday brunch.

We also had some sunshine, so we got out and took a walk with Anna bundled up and looking like a little purple marshmellow in her new snowsuit...or possibly a mail-order baby from Russia. Yay for Vitamin D. The sun is shining again today and thankfully no more training events for another month or so, so stay tuned for more posts and Meyerisms!

We like to call that the "Starfish" look...because Sam is too bundled to move any of his arms or legs and looks, well, like a starfish.

We call it the gingerbread man affect at this house too - oh, and those pictures on our blog you asked about with the ice fishing...Gwen is in the tote WITHOUT the lid (Steve had his lunch in the other one) :)

hehe, she looks like the kid from A Christmas Story, with the arms stuck out to the sides. Too cute!
