Chocolate Cream Puff Dessert
Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1/2 cup of butter
1 cup of flour
4 Eggs
Filling:
8 oz of cream cheese (softened)
3 1/2 cups of cold milk
2 packages of instant chocolate pudding
Topping:
1 carton of whipped topping (i.e. Cool Whip)
Hershey's Dark Chocolate syrup
Caramel topping
Slivered or sliced almonds (about 1/2 cup)
Cooking instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil; add flour all at once and stir until ball forms. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes to cool (this way you won't have scrambled eggs). Add eggs, one at a time, and beat with a hand mixer until smooth. Spread into greased 9x13 baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and puffy. Cool completely.
In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, milk and pudding mix until smooth. Spread over the puff and chill for 20 minutes.
Layer the whipped topping over the pudding mixture and drizzle with choccolate syrup and caramel sauce. Sprinkle with almonds. Mmmmm.
