Though I have loudly proclaimed my suspicions that Anna is loved by her grandparents more than they ever loved Tim and myself, even I have to admit that we're still spoiled rotten. Last week, as I returned to the office for the first time in 12 weeks, Tim's parents came to babysit Anna. Not only are they free babysitters (they work primarily for smiles and spit-up), their presence means that Mom & Dad can return to work without worrying about who is keeping an eye on their precious girl. As if that wasn't enough, Sue cleaned half the house while she was here AND made us dinner (homemade turkey noodle soup), which was ready when we got home. Words can't describe how appreciated this was, especially since it gave me more snuggle time with Anna and her fuzzy hair.
Later that same week, Grammy and Poppy Wells came to visit. Grammy cleaned the other half of the house and made Anna's Halloween costume so that she didn't have to wear her birthday suit for Halloween. They also put up with our mammoth shopping trip on Saturday, which we embarked on to take advantage of having a few extra hands around to hold the kiddo. Needless to say, we did our bit to stimulate the economy. :P

Both of our parents have been such a huge help since Anna was born that many times I wonder if we'd still be curled up in a corner in the hospital room without them. The longer we are parents, the more we appreciate their efforts! Of course, they do seem to enjoy their love's labors...as does Anna, who is as spoiled as her cheeks are chubby.

You must print and frame that picture of your dad with Anna. It's absolutely priceless.
Hurray for free babysitting! And how great that your parents and inlaws get to bond with Anna. That is one reason I wish we lived closer to one set of parents.
Hope week two of going back to work is working out!
I love that picture of Anna with your dad. Your sentiments echo our own: WE LOVE GRANDPARENTS!
We especially like their fees (all the smiles and spit-up you can stand). It's nice to be close to grandparents.
Thanks again to our parents for their help and support. We are lucky to have such caring family members around us.
