Me (talking to our incessantly barking dogs): "SHUSH!"
Anna: "Mommy, we don't say shush."
Me: "I think shush is okay, as long as we're talking to barking dogs."
Anna (after a short pause): "Yeah, but last week you said 'dammit' and we don't say that. That wasn't very nice, was it?"
Me: "No, it wasn't very nice, I shouldn't have said it."
Anna: "You said 'shut up', too. That wasn't very nice." (For the record, this was months ago and also to aforementioned barking dogs :P)
Me: "No, it wasn't very nice, I shouldn't have said it."
Sigh. I'm not sure when my three year old became my mother, dammit.
